Audio production

As Writer in Residence at PRiSM I produced Infinite Remix, a podcast exploring the creative potential and implications of AI music. I interviewed a range of artists working with machine learning technology to synthesise sound, going beyond the headlines about AI replacing musicians to discover more complex questions of creativity, collaboration, beauty and consciousness.

I produced the Audio Club podcast for YSWN, working with sound editor Jo Kennedy on eight episodes featuring host Caro C chatting with a range of women and minority gender people chatting all things music technology: from field recording to post-production sound design.

I have also collaborated on several sound art pieces, including Chantry and Calder, a geolocated soundwalk for the Index festival; the experimental docudrama The Last Glass, which was featured in 2017’s Radiophrenia programme, and the site-specific installation Reasons For Admission, which ran at the Mental Health Museum in Wakefield.

In addition to this I produce features and packages spotlighting grassroots creativity in my role as Creative Lives on Air Producer for BBC Radio Leeds. I also work with Jo Kennedy to offer podcast production and training services: see Jo’s site for more details.
